Maybe, it’s not yet generally known: Some time ago we’ve started to document known issues of the DICOM toolkit DCMTK on a separate web page. Of course, a publicly accessible bug tracking system would be even better, but this is also on our to-do list for a while …

dsrdump now with color output

Yesterday, I’ve committed a patch to DCMTK’s git repository that adds two new output options to the DICOM Structured Report (SR) tool dsrdump:

+C --print-color use ANSI escape codes for colored output
-C --no-color do not use any ANSI escape codes (default)

DICOM training course in March 2011

The next DICOM training course in English language takes place from 29 to 31 March 2011 in Oldenburg, Germany. The two-day DICOM Intensive Course is followed by the one-day course DICOM Toolkit DCMTK.

First DCMTK snapshot after the 3.6.0 release

Today, a new development snapshot of the DCMTK has been made available. This is the first package that has the version number 3.6.1 (odd numbers at the last position indicate a snapshot).

Binaries for DCMTK 3.6.0 available

After we’ve made the official Windows binaries for DCMTK 3.6.0 available about two weeks ago, there are now also Linux binaries – both with static and dynamic linkage.

Of course, there might be more appropriate packages for your favorite Linux distribution. Some of them are listed in the “user contributions” section on the DCMTK web page.
