Last week, after another meeting of the Working Group 6 (WG-06), the 2014c edition of the DICOM standard has been made available on the NEMA server. Compared to the previous edition from September this year, 2 supplements and 36 correction items (CPs) have been incorporated.
The two supplements are:
- Supplement 171: Unified Procedure Step by REpresentational State Transfer (REST) Services (UPS-RS)
- Supplement 172: Parametric Map Storage
The correction items incorporated and an overview of the changes to the existing 20 parts of the DICOM standard can be found in the official release notes.
We have taken the opportunity to update the current development version of the DCMTK again regarding the data dictionary (DICOM attributes) and the list of known UIDs (SOP Classes and well-known SOP Instances).
