Yesterday, the 2015a edition of the DICOM standard has been made available on the NEMA server. Compared to the previous edition from November last year, 1 supplement and 12 correction items (CPs) have been incorporated.
The supplement and a selection of the correction items are:
- Supplement 167: X-Ray 3D Angiographic IOD Informative Annex
- CP 1031: Support long code values
- CP 1417: Clarify use and declaration of private mapping resource
- CP 1422: Correct High Bit value description in various IODs
The complete list of correction items incorporated and an overview of the changes to the existing 20 parts of the DICOM standard can be found in the official release notes.
We have taken the opportunity to update the current development version of the DCMTK again regarding the data dictionary, i.e. we have generated the “dicom.dic” file from the machine-readable DocBook version of part 6 and 7 of the DICOM standard. Since the data dictionary was already up-to-date regarding the recently approved Supplements and CPs, there are no changes apart from the name of the underlying DICOM standard edition.
